Is it possible to code a HK amplifier option code 688 (hk surround system) as 677 (top hifi logic7) for use on a F10/F11 03/2011 pre-lci with cic prof?

you have to specify which HK amp you are talking about ( part number is very useful info to provide ) , if its with MOST connection then easy job , but some HK amps don't use MOST , it uses CAN signal to operate .

I have F10 Logic7 in my F31 , lets swap 

easy job , Code the CIC with the original FA of the car after adding ( if its not added yest ) 677 option , and you need FA from F30 to Code the amp ( VIN of amp must match the VIN of F30 FA ) . and call it a day.

So in today’s trend of hijacking threads I have almost an identical question that kinda fits here . I fitted a top hifi amp from a 2013 M5 because I was retrofitting ASD. The model of AMP I had was 688 HK and the M5 amp was 677 top hifi. It lists these in the ETK. Esys and ISTA always show that I need to deinstall the AMPT and install AMP_TOP.HB I am assuming I can’t flash the AMPT with AMP_TOPHB? The worry I have is that the flash will fail or won’t have the ASD function? I would just leave it but the red showing in ESYS troubles me.

just leave it as is , you will not be able to flash it with any other software from different hardware . if Esys is bothering you , best solution is :: PRESS THE X ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF ESYS WINDOW  .

Haha, I guess that’s what I’ll have to do. At least I know for sure it’s physically different hardware. I haven’t noticed any difference in sound quality so I’ll just put up with it.

ma apologies for misleading information I have posted earlier ,, I was lazy to look at ETK , I only looked for a picture of the amp to see the ports .. 

now after looking at ETK , this part number actually is perfect match for F10 HK 688 option .
so basically remove the old VO of the sound system ( 676 in your case ) , add 688 to the FA ,, and code at least CIC and amp ( maybe KOMBI too ) .

hello I have 2 versions of amplifier in esys when I give calculation svt. My car didn't have a Harman Kardon and I retrofitted it. The reference of the amplifier is with asd that my car doesn't have that option either. The amp comes from a bmw 435d and my 420d car. What could I do? I have seen that you had the same problem

Modify FA to match Amplifer. Then calculate Svt, tal and flash
