Driving without Cluster/Bench Test mileage
I got 2 Questions about the instrument cluster.
Question 1: If I put the Instrument Cluster of a Car (higher or lower mileage as CAS) in my bench. Will the Instrument Cluster change its mileage? What if I put it back to the original Car? (Red dot, mileage wrong?) Question 2: What will happen if I drive the Car without Cluster? Will the mileage correct automatically if I put it back in the original car? |

RE: Driving without Cluster/Bench Test mileage
1: I don't know about higher Mileage in CAS. But you would not get a red dot as VIN does not automatically change
2: Yes if cluster has less mileage then it will adjust itself to the car's mileage |

RE: Driving without Cluster/Bench Test mileage
1) It will change if cas mileage is higher on your bench
2) Nothing will happen and yes mileage will be automatically updated when you put back the cluster in the car MGU virgin and patching in Europa.

The Cluster jumped to the CAS Mileage but If I read it there is still the lower mileage present. The VINs are different. If I put the Cluster back to original car will it jump back or do I have to virgin the mileage? |

RE: Driving without Cluster/Bench Test mileage
Mileage will be shown from module with highest one. Plug it to power only then you see milage from cluster only.
If you worry of picking up milage - no worries. Milage can be changed only after coding in the way up. If you didn't code just put cluster to the car and be ok. Had situation when customer was driving 6 months with kit cas ecu keys. (no coding). Milage was higher from different cas. He came to me - I swapped to orginal cas and then aligned ecu. Milage come back to the orginal from the car. |
