If you reinstall Windows from scratch, as opposed to applying patches, you will likely need an activation code, just like Windows require activation, same thing. Online activation is in my radar and I'm also thinking of getting rid of the tokens and just use activation codes.
If people weren't so enterprising, there wouldn't be activation requirement, no region restrictions, no 3-day rule...etc. |
