I grabbed 2 pieces for like $40~$45 from ebay and approx $20 for copper bars and terminals and switches.I am just an DIY'er and didn't want to spend lots of money and that's why i built it for myself.I tested it on my E70 X535D with all the accessories turned on (heated seats, headlights, fog lights, rear window defogger, fan at highest speed, stereo, all interior lights) and the max current it saw on my X5 was approx 110 amps and it maintained its voltage right at 14.0 volts with load and at no load. These power supplies are built to run 24x7@365 days.Voltage is adjustable from 12.2 volts to 14.4 v max with very nice voltage regulation.Voltage just remains constant doesn't matter you load it with 120 amps or .1 amp. |
