have you ever seen VAG diagrams?

Yes I got them from erwin and practice reading ED for retrofitting purposes for enhansing my car. However no prior knowledge on pcb apart from removing some smd resistors and in general soldering cables, creating new connectors, and dismantling the car plastics. I dont know how to use a multimeter or how to find which resistor or chip should be replaced in order to carry out repairs. Something that I am very interested in gaining knowledge in the near future. I have a BMW with paddle shift 1998-2001 tiptronic which never came from the manufacturer with paddle shifts and a retrofitted cruise control as an example of my previous owned car retrofits and experimentation. Nothing professionally, only for the fun and for my car and on my spare time. I have different experience with my audi.

What I have not managed so far is passive torque vectoring abs firmware on prefacelift s-tronic (torsen gear diff) if ayone has knowledge on this please PM. I believe it is compatible because both abs firmware use the s-tronic gear technology though audi offered this technology to crown gear/center differential rather than torsen (previous technology). I would love to enable this in order to upgrade my turbo and do some racing but not until then. Maybe it is also Bosch abs hardware. rather than just Bosch abs software!

Who can test an abs firmware on the bench??????????? If it is so simple do this and you will make a lot of money from all S-tronic B8 Owners with open differntial (the majority in Europe). Audi also could but it is the same problem as Deflation Warning System. They never did enable this feature even if my hardware supported it. Same as efficiency and temperature indicator on instrument cluster. With few firmware updates that was also possible, lap timer activation was otherwise just a lap timer.

And to cut to the chase, I never go back. All newer firmware updates to my car never created any problems, only benefits. Of course this is not the same with any other manufacturer. Only Audi has such a good firmware support with continuous technology improvement and third party companies supporting the retrofit market. I know because I also have/used to have a Honda. No improvements only bug fixes, no retrofit upgrades only retrofit accessories.
