Change Long VIN in Retrofitted ECUs
I have retrofitted quite a few ECUs into my F10 and everything works great (apart from no owners manual on my NBT EVO )
One thing I have noticed is if I get transmitter in E-Sys to Read VIN it gives a report of each ECU and its VIN. Most of them display correctly except for some of the retrofitted ECUs PMA and JBBF display the donor VIN and ECUs FRR shows as invalid with all 00's and HUD that is factory fitted shows as invalid with FF's. KAFAS2 shows the donor VIN but this is accepted as it is using donor FSC. Is it possible and if it is how do I write the correct VIN to these ECUs. Tool32 doesn't show a Schrieben for these modules so I'm asking for some more help/suggestions. If I read CPS on any of these it will display the correct short VIN. Code: 10->F4 62 F1 90 57 42 41 35 44 31 32 30 36 30 47 44 37 31 38 37 37 // VIN: WBA5D12060GD718XX I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.
