RE: BMW Icom A2 repair

Theoretically, I should not need it, but I would rather have it in reserve if something goes wrong. I found one like in the attachment but I'm not sure if it will be good. I understand that I cannot read this eeprom in the circuit, I just need to desolder, then do the reading, change the serial number and write the eeprom to 24C02 again. Is it possible to use an adapter for the 24C02 TSSOP, or is it better to solder the memory to the printed circuit board with pins for reading? Not difficult, but what if something went wrong? Is the content of the Eeprom assigned to a given ICOM or can it be replaced with another file? The next question that thrills me is which ICOM_Restore.bin file should I use? The only one I have in my resources is the attached to the files ICOM-Image-03-15-04. Currently, ICOM is updated to ICOM-Image-03-22-11. |
