Odis engineering or my favorite VCP?

Odis engineering 8.1.3 ,109.0.60 update .

Never used VCP.

I have 5053 line and 5054a bluetooth, can use for VCP sofeware?

For VCP you need both VCP hardware and VCP software (you cannot use vas5054a) Then you get flashdaten and if firmware is compatible with your ECU then you can flash your control unit offline.

With vas5054a you can use odis-e engineering and the firmware you wish to flash if compatible with your ECU again offline.

Both methods give same result.

In case your ECU needs parameterization files then those are available from VCP support and you can download them.

Is ECU equals fireware of MMI ?
Can I bak my origin ECU , then update new version.
If these will have some problem, Can I recovery my bak ECU?



I try some unit ,but none match ,I'm afraid that Chinese unit NO. is different ,It may be custom.

Then I search VCP, the last version is 5.5.1 2016.
I can't sure that can match B9 A4L.
Or you can give me a store can Bought the newest which can match my car, language is Chinese better.
