RE: How can I fix steering angle position in VCDS Lite?
Guys please lets come to the right point...........How can you start telling him to remove the steering wheel without even knowing what is the story of this vehicle.........
1) Read the fault code and post it here so we can see what Vag-Com is saying. 2) Have you done any job on this vehicle that has caused to this fault.............? 3) If you have not done any work on this vehicle than you done need to remove the steering wheel till you post the fault codes here......... 4) To reset the Steering Angle Sensor there are few options to do it all depends on what model are we working as you have still not told us you car model and year....... 5) Option 1 is from ABS System or Option 2 is from Steering System and in both you have to do it from Basic Settings and NOT from Adaptations...................Log in to the system than security login which is 40168 than Basic settings select Steering Angle Sensor G85 If My Post Was Helpful
Than Please Click On Thanks & Rep.. |

RE: How can I fix steering angle position in VCDS Lite?
Thank you all of you guys for replying and trying to help me with my car.
My car: Audi A6 Avant 1,8T Quattro (C5) Manual gear, petrol, and 2000 model. Motor code is APU. I certenly should saved the log from VCDS after the scan. My bad actually. 1,5 year ago I have changed/replaced the transmission box and the engine. Two time I have removed the power steering since it had a servooil leak from it. After that ESP and ABS light started to light up after I start the engine. My speedometer and mile counter doesn't work anymore. Speedometer worked sometimes and lived its own life from time to time. But suddenly it doesn't work anymore. Some mechanics told me it shouldn't be instrument panel that is the problem. They thought it was the ABS Speed Sensor front left and right wheel. Few days ago I have replaced both ABS speed sensors, but still speedometer doesn't work. I don't have genuine VCDS software or cable so I can use it 100%. I only have ebay clone cable and VCDS Lite 1,2 that is not stable. But one mechanic man have tried to adjust the steering wheel by removing the steering, and he tried to fix that angle problem. But with no luck. I have many times tried to scan with VCDS and it shows up Steering Angle sensor G85 failure. But I can't clear the DTC codes since its not registred. Next time or maybe later today I will try to scan again and save the log and post it here. So you guys maybe got some clues of what else I can do to fix Steering Angle G85 problem. Thank you guys for all the help |
