No disadvantages., no issues at all.. just new programming data with old base software

Not quite the case - Node highlighted this in another thread that some ABL may not function correctly without the App updates but unless you buy an offline license from someone like @Dayvg, you'll have to wait for Sedoy to come up with his solution.

Im not talking about sqldbs, just programming data...
