ISPI NEXT TOOL

RE: ISPI NEXT TOOL
Don't say that it is the free space again! :P
But right now, about 80,6GB free?

Later I will try to delete all the installation-files from the hard drive (desktop) and then run the update from an external USB drive, to see if that helps.
That will give me around 100GB more free space, I think.

I will return when I've tried! (:

I'm guessing that you mean the "C:\Program Files\BMW\ISPI\TRIC\ISTA\Logs" ?
But it's empty..
Logs folder: "C:\Program Data\BMW\ISPI\logs\TRIC\ISTA-P"

Thanks, I found them! (:
But they are unreadable in Notepad and WordPad?

ISTA-P is a pain in the........!
But thanks! (:
Now I know that I actually have to buy a new 1TB hard drive, to be sure that I have enough free space. :P

(All the installation-files only gives me 65GB more free space)

RE: ISPI NEXT TOOL
Uuffff.....
simply delete .log in name and open it as 7zip archive.

Online teamviewer support for almost all automotive software. JLR SDD latest offline. Hyundai/KIA GDS dealer certification.

RE: ISPI NEXT TOOL
I haven't tried that yet..
But I tried to open it in 7Zip, where it just tells me that it isn't a archive?

UPDATE:
Yup.. 7-Zip can't open the file "20150718_025959_3.56.1.002_4.0.2_InstallerLogs.7zip" as a archive.

Yeah, there is a 3.56.1.002, if you use the Beta 3-tool (:
Or you can download it from sangandi's FTP, in this topic:
http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=7210

UPDATE:
Sorry, my bad!
The 3.56... is ISTA/P..

I have 400GB free on my C: Drive and get the same error like DICKHILL!
So the free memory isn't the problem for that installation.
No I'm trying since 3 days to install this software but no luck. I downloaded all necessary files and installed the product like posted in the first posting of this thread with the beta 3 Version, I read all posts in this thread about 4 times but still the same Problem while installing ISTA/P
ISTA/D-PLUS seams to run, I haven't checked it with a car connected but the Programm starts, nevertheless actually after 3 days I've got only a "Rheingold" running on my Notebook but still want to have a complete ISPI-Next installation.

The log files are not really helpful, the "InstallLogs-3.56.1.002-4.0.2" Directory stores only one file with the information "INFO: Starting CustomAction 'WriteFingerprintOn'error".
after rename the 7zip.log files to 7zip and extraction of this file to a directory I found the following information in the log before the PostRollbackCleanup starts.
Code:
18.07.2015-22:53 INFO: LISTENER: MessageType: Error MessageButtonType: Ok Arguments:  Vorhandene Datei unterscheidet sich von redundanter Datenangabe ErrorFileExistsButIsDifferent
18.07.2015-22:53 INFO: 10826 Ticks Fortschritt.
18.07.2015-22:53 ERROR: Installationsvorgang fehlgeschlagen (ErrorCode: ErrorCode:Invalid #-2)
18.07.2015-22:53 ERROR: Setzen des Installationsmodus fehlgeschlagen. Breche Installation ab.
18.07.2015-22:53 ERROR: Konfigurieren und Starten des IFS-Installers fehlgeschlagen.
18.07.2015-22:53 ERROR: CustomAction 'LaunchInstallation' fehlgeschlagen.

a very nice mixture between german and English yikes

Can anybody help out with the problem?

Notebook is a HP EliteBook 8530W (Intel Core2Duo T9600 2,8GHz), Windows 7 x64, 8GB RAM, Seagate 1TB SSHD and latest Windows Updates installed including .NET v4.5.2

many thanks in advance!
greetings
Tom

Edit: I found an additional information in the installer.log:
Code:
18.07.2015 22:53:30,8947117 57283
LOG ERROR: Vorhandene Datei unterscheidet sich von redundanter Datenangabe
    Installer : 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 : 192.168.3.103 : 1
    InstallerEngine\Installer\ExecutionPlanCreator.cs : -1
    ExecutionPlanCreator::AddElement(
        FileElement=BMW/Client/layout/maskcontent/popupAdministration.xml)
after that entry the installation stops and the rollback is done.

RE: ISPI NEXT TOOL
Well, that's interesting! o.O
It really would have been fun if I had gone out and bought a new laptop for 500+ EUR because I thought that I had a too small hard drive or not enough memory! biggrin

(My laptop is a Compaq with a AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1,90GHz CPU with 4GB memory, 320GB hard drive and Win 8.1 Pro x86.)

OnkelTom
How did you managed to extract the log-files?
My laptop still tells me that the file can't be opened as a archive, and if I try to extract it to a folder, it tells me that 7-Zip can't find the code that works with archives.
