I used to get an error when trying to do the measures plan with ENET. like I said, it seems ICOM is required for the software update related procedures in ISTA/D.

Does ISTA4 require the car to be on a power supply in order to code?

Programming should always be done with non-battery tender, PSU.

Do you know if the Schumacher INC-700A's 70amps is sufficient for a BMW G series platform?

Also it seems ISTA 4 is more sensitive to over-voltage than ISTA3 when the car is idling. Any idea if there's a config edit that could disable or silence these warnings?

I have the same PSU, but never tried programming a G series. What are you setting voltage at?

So flashing works as in ista p , measurement plan takes only one minute , so you can save up a lot of time against ista p.

You're right.so it‘s time to dig its expert mode for single module programing like ISTA/P.then it will become perfect.And make Eth valid for this new ISTA diag and programming function is very powerful for anybody don't have ICOM.for all CT members who have ability to do it.thx in advance.

Are you running the reg fix from the Rheingold folder?
The regfix should add all these values.

I tested yesterday, and is work fine. Why there are modules, after test on the control unit tree, that they are not built into the car. E.g EGS, DSP, NAV etc.

ISTA/D has been like this on a few models now, even though it has identified the car as a manual, it will still show unfitted ECUs like EGS in grey.

Green=good
Orange=fault
Red = Should be fitted but no communication
Grey = Possible ECU location in the diagnostic tree
Blue = ECU stuck in programming mode.
