This work is not that easy and simple to do
i am seeing lots of new people thinking they can buy some hardware and then just click a few buttons and everything works. THIS IS NOT THE CASE this work takes alot of hard work and practice you have now said you have carprog (clone or original?) (clone needs repairs, search carprog in forum search box and read all threads) also you might need to remove the eprom to read it correctly (some adapters in carprog clone are crap and wired wrong, so you also need to find if these are good or not) if you have to remove the eprom then you will need a hot air rework station (best option) or manually removal with a soldering iron. (do you know how to use a soldering iron?) you should at LEAST have a good understanding of basic electronics if my post helps please give Reputation

Simple is not ... this is the only sure .. enough go and buy the ktag to the galletto and I think we can do it all .. .. never mind will destroy some ecu and some time to learn ...

Dot on chip is number 1, or with writing upright bottom left, or with taper at the bottom bottom left.
