Hello, i've installed all as post 1 and all is good for me. It's very long but it works fine. Thanks for that job. Can we upgrade prices on this version ?

This saved me a lot of time:

Make a copy of C:ETKA\DATA file and rename as 1DATA.
Move 1DATA into C: BEFORE you update.
Two DATA files now exist 1DATA in C: and DATA in C:ETKA.
Check to make sure C:1DATA\XX (ALL FILES AU VW SE SK) \Data1 and Data2 show the latest updates [Example: C:1DATA\AU\Data1\upd11880.log and C:1DATA\AU\Data2\upd11870.log] or whatever your current updates are.
Update/install ETKA 8.0 program.
After install, rename C:ETKA\DATA to 2DATA.
Rename 1DATA to DATA and move into C:ETKA with 2DATA.
Open ETKA 8.0.
Should show your latest update.
Mine was 1186.
I then was able to update 1187 and 1188 as normal with update tool. Everything else also works as normal.

If all else fails, rename your DATA files back and update from 1154 as normal.

You can delete the the old C:ETKA\2DATA file if this works and you can update normally.

MAKE SURE YOU ONLY DELETE C:ETKA\2DATA AND NOT C:ETKA\DATA.

Say, that's a great IDEA, in fact that's what I've done last time, going to 7.5 +.
just copied the Data Files to a different dive, and then after the update, -> back.

I'm hung up with my install going to 8.0 SO, I will try that reminder.

for your upd.log files.

Working with the DATA folders, the Upgrade went pretty quick.
the catalog is performing well on all 4 Brands.

i only have Data1 in each subdirectory and not Data2
the log is
au : upd11540
se : upd6800
sk : 6860
vw : upd11540

and when i start etka no update
in each subdirectory for ex au\update i have a file like etupau1155

i don't know why the update doesn't want to start
if i put the date of the computer in march etka works well no pb

I have ETKA 7.5 working on a VM and now I am going to try ETKA 8.0

Go to YouTube, it looks very good the new ETKA.

As a tip, do as I am doing and clone your VM. This way you have always a backup of 7.5.

I will try to upgrade and then I's say something!

I'm from Portugal and the prices are never correct when I go to the dealer.
