It doesnt block functionalities, only a fault in vagcom(vcds) that you can erase with this method

That, however, is not necessary to remove this error ...

RE: Free Installation: Map Audi MMI 3G HDD 2014 PART. NO. 8R0060884BK version 6.17.3
Hello, finally I did the firmware upgrade yesterday, it worked perfect everything but it took 50 min !!
@paszczak, thanks.
@Carpediem, your manual says 15-25min O.o

I will try to update the maps soon, when I will have more time.

A note (maybe is not this the thread):
I finally wanted to test again the rSAP mode, I have a Galaxy S3 and it never worked. If I put the sim card in my old Blackberry all is fine and the 16bit code is requested to pair the devices.

I have the option visible in the car, when I select it, it seems to be connected but after a while mobile network is not found and connection drops: "SAP has been deactivated" message from the smartphone, and MMI want to search a new device. Some pictures attached.

What's wrong with my phone or Audi? Any idea?

I confirm, I also do the same time! approximately 15 minutes to upgrade the firmware with the sd card class 10 (SanDisk Ultra 30MB/s 32gb) yes
This sd I will need to update the map, as soon as I have some time.... dull

Hello Davidoff,

Did you try with rSAP application ? i don't know if the rSAP is natively supported with S3. I have S4 Mini and the rSAP apllication (Bluetooth SIM access profile) works but big problem you have to root your device !!

Now I put a data sim for data traffic only and my phone is only connected by bluetooth (not rsap). The new FW permit to use SIM+phone simultaneously.

Carpediem, you right, it is a class 6 but @30mb/s, 16GB, strange...
I have another one class 10 always @30mb/s, 32GB. I am obliged now to use this one for the maps.

Walawa, wait a minute, you mean to use 2 SIMs, only data inside the slot and the normal one with Bluetooth in handsfree mode. The new functionality is very nice, yes.

So you tell me that rSAP ("Car phone" in my picture) doesn't not work natively. My S3 is already rooted. However what a shame by Google...
The app you mean is the one that cost 9€ in PlayStore? Months ago, I already tried the trial and it didn't work. I will try again...
