XZBMW  2011 F02 Transmission Update/Flash
I need help with my trans.
I am driving a 2011 750LI (F02), the car makes a big grinding noise when around 20 to 40 MPH (30 to 60 KPH), i have to take it very slow when shifting up!, once i am past this upper limit, everything is good.

can someone help me on how to flash/update only the transmission software?

i have only Enet cable and tried E-sys but could not find a TCU update.

i would really appreciate detailed guidance.

RE: 2011 F02 Transmission Update/Flash
If it makes noise software update not gonna fix it.
Anyway unless your DME/DDE is remapped, you must do that too in the process along DSC..
If you calculated SVT etc and it shows no update for EGS then there is no update for it.
Double check istep level in VCM etc and report back and post screenshots so we can assist further.

this is all what i got from E-sys.
i repeated the process like 3 times and keep getting the same, nothing for the EGS.

just in case that there is no update, how do i force re-flash the same program version?, also how do i know which version is current for the transmission?

RE: 2011 F02 Transmission Update/Flash
Go to VCM on the left menu
Click MASTER tab, then Read ISTEP
Shows us the TAL calculation page where we can see EGS

No point of reflashing same software.

Yes 03.2018 istep
Nothing new for egs for sure. Last udpdate probably 2014 for this car

Your problem is not software.
Get gearbox serviced. Oil etc
