Hi i have a 2007 Vauxhall Corsa D 1.3Cdti Z13DTH the Ecu had been water logged previously and repaired by a dubious source, the car worked fine until recently when it just wouldnt rev over 1500 rpm, upon removing ecu and opening it up the previous owner managed to snap the circuit board, my question is can i just replace the ecu or do i need to buy a "kit" ? can i just swap EEprom chip if i get same ecu?

Yes. Just swapping the eeprom will work fine as long as the part number is the same.

you have to copy flash , micro and epprom to donor ecu....

and start the car...

Can't read the old ecu as its destroyed circuit board was broken when opening as some cowboy had glued it with so much glue it would not come apart without great force! Have managed to acquire an ecu not all numbers match but was from same car 6 speed box same engine

you try through bdm and it is impossible to read it?

in that case you need same ecu and make immo off....

in mtj6o3 immo is in eeprom and in the flash too....

Will it still read through obd even without ecu plugged in? Is flash in Bdm?

bdm means read ecu on bench.... you didn't need the car just ecu and ktag or galletto or mpps....programmer

search on net for 6o3 read....

So new ecu turned up today, turns out it wasn't what I was told, not same model car but according to forums part numbers consistent although I am weary I have a z13dth and this is from a z13dtj model the new ecu numbers

look for the used ecu even if it is of the same type of motor, z13dth that matches the HW and passes eprom from original ecu to used ecu and to work, you have another option, extract used ecu's tents or buy it, reset ecu used with opcom and then match it using the carp of the original car all this you do with opcom and buying the tents, or opcom and carprog you do not need to buy anything.
