HELP! F10 dead headlights after frm code
Hello guys,
I have a problem with the headlights on an F10. The story sounds like this. A friend of mine bought an used f10 525d. VIN: DT99551 The car was RHD but now is converted to LHD(we don`t know who made the conversion). All good so far. The car was working fine except the front doors switch(still on uk style) and knobs on climate pannel so I tried to code IHKA to reverse the controls left to right(driver knob to controll the pasanger side) I read FA and changed type code from XB32(UK) to XB31(EU), removed option 812 and added 801. Then I coded IHKA, JBBF, CAS, FRM(I don`t know why) and KOMBI. From that moment the headlights are not working, only angel-eyes works and also the buttons for heated seats are inverted. I tried to erase the errors and initialise headlights with Ista+ but no success. Every time it ends with error and nothing happends. Before that the headlights worked just fine with no errors. I also tried to put back the original FA and code the same modules but the headlights still don`t want to work. They are starting for 5-6 seconds and then starts to flicker and shuts down. Any sugestion please? |

RE: HELP! F10 dead headlights after frm code
I solved the problem.
The car has retrofitted xenon headlights.I added 522 to FA and coded FRM. According to vin decoding, the car came with halogen headlights. I don`t know who made this retrofit and why he didn`t code the car properly. Only one problem now, heated seats are not working fine after steering wheel change from right to left. Button from left activates right seat and button from right activates the left seat. Any opinion? |
