Original Xentry Connect - SDConnect C5 connection
Hello colleagues,
I have an original Xentry connect, or SDConnect C5 Device, with battery integrated, but HDD removed. Is it possible to make it work with the Xentry XDOS, lets say 2019/09 latest version? I set IP to 172.29.127.119 and subnet 255.255.255.0 - doesn't help to get it recognized at the Toolkit in taskbar. I attach all pictures. Can anyone tell what is needed to make it work with LAN cable and XDOS latest versions? Pictures: Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5 Pic 6 Pic 7 Thanks and rep guaranteed for helping answers ! |

RE: Original SDConnect C5 connection
What did you try to connect it with?
Xentry Connect by the way. A better title could attract members who are familiar with this tool. |

You cant do this... removing HDD ... you removed everything.. try first from BIOS to change something.. but this for sure you cant.
Vediamo & DTS all version
eCOM with Xentry all version XENTRY Connect kit2/kit3 support |

Ok so if I install the HDD of it with the 2016-12 version on it, will it be detected by my PC via LAN cable? Or what is the correct way of using it with latest XDOS? |

RE: Original Xentry Connect - SDConnect C5 connection
Xentry kit 3 is different software for different device for Xentry connect is Kit2. As Cucuro said it is different hardware and can not be used with XDOS. This devices used with XDOS are only SDConnects inside XentryConnect case /fake/.

But I now realised that you did not have any HDD on the Xentry Connect. Looks like you tried to treat it as an SDConnect, the C5 fake clone. Usually people make a mistake the other way around, assuming an Xentry Connect when they have an SDconnect clone in the Xentry Connect box. |

Yes you are right, I tried to treat it as SDConnect clone, but now I understand this is not the correct way In simple words if we talk about Xentry Connect (original), I assume the HDD inside it has all the big Xentry software installed, and you only use Xentry Tab with some kind of software just as a display, but all the job is done by the Xentry Connect device itself? I assume there is no easy way of having it to work for my own needs without purchasing legal software for thousands of euros? Thanks! |
