VCP EEPROM reading... ALFID?
Hi all,
does anyone know what the ALFID is and why it can be changed in the UP/DOWN section of VCP?? When reading EEPROMs for some modules its by default 44.... I think there might be other values and because its an option, it must be significant. Looking at an ODX file under part of the signature information it shows: <SECURITYS> ... ... <SECURITY> <SECURITY-METHOD TYPE="A_ASCIISTRING">ALFID</SECURITY-METHOD> <FW-SIGNATURE TYPE="A_BYTEFIELD">0141</FW-SIGNATURE> </SECURITY> ... ... thanks a |

cheers. I also found this:
class udsoncan.AddressAndLengthFormatIdentifier(address_format, memorysize_format) This class defines how many bytes of a memorylocation, composed of an address and a memorysize, should be encoded when sent over the underlying protocol. Mainly used by ReadMemoryByAddress, WriteMemoryByAddress, RequestDownload and RequestUpload services Defined by ISO-14229:2006, Annex G Parameters • address_format (int) – The number of bits on which an address should be encoded. Possible values are 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 • memorysize_format (int) – The number of bits on which a memory size should be encoded. Possible values are 8, 16, 24, 32 |
