Bimmer Utility definitely fills the void as I have had the chance to use this for the past few days, experimenting with many SP21 files like 1DF8 on BDC_BODY3 which I had issues reading on both Launcher Pro and E-sysX. I'll have to say that the CAFD mapping is second to none and given that it's an external editor, you don't have to deal with many of the runtime issues that many other launchers having when it comes to memory issues and crashes. I used to get really fed up when I'm reading one module like KAFAS4 then going to MGU and then getting run time errors on E-sys making me reload the whole launcher. You won't see any of that with Bimmer Utility!

Thanks Rob for making this awesome tool as it will definitely save me a lot of time from switching between different launchers just to work around mismatched CAFD mapping!

We are happy you are enjoying Bimmer Utility!

Right now, must be same exact version.  I spoke with support about this.  They are changing it to allow comparison where ID and Major version are same.  Subversion and Patch version can differ.

This was implemented and is working.

RE: BimmerUtility vs Esys Launchers
i have to use both esysX and BU, both are ok. The feature I look forward to the most is "remote coding with icom", both application dont have. Currently I am very satisfied to combine the two in my work, mainly I work with motorrad, Hope next update...

RE: BimmerUtility vs Esys Launchers
Hi Rob@BU,

I got the license two week and can say works really well, previously was using eSysX Expert but as all mentioned the mapping was always an issue.

As a recommendation if possible can you please have a section for change log, so we know what new features have been added to BU. I know the tool is quite new but will be great to know what features or changes are being added in the future.

All the best and keep up the good work.
