XZBMW  HUH: Theft-proofing mode Active Error (B7F87A) after i-level update with ISTA+
Today I was updating the I-level on my sister BMW X5 2017 from F025-16-11-503 to F025-22-11-510 and after everything finished successfully an active error is now present (HUH: Theft-proofing mode Active Error - B7F87A).

I was reading a bulleting related to this issue (link below) and it seems to be an issue present after replacing headunit or updating it to a newer i-level version.

"This will set a fault in the Head Unit, Fault Code “B7F87A: Burgler Actively Registered / Component Protection Active”. All enable codes (FSC/SWT) in the head unit will enter a canceled status and will no longer be valid. System functions such as Navigation, Voice activation, Satellite Radio, etc will not function."

Any idea on how I can get this activated again? Saw a couple of videos on youtube fixing this same issue but I really dont understand very well!

You need fsc oem ​​(Fsc 170) from dealer or patch nbt evo and then use fsc patch to disable it.
- Secure coding (NCD 2.0) fit to FA changed (Typschlussel, Serie, Region...).
- Remove component protection MGU18/21 (only case BDC replace).
- ID8.5 (SFA) conversion/ change region map.
- Virgin Kafas4, MRR, RAM used.
- Mgu patch, fsc custom match to vin, remove CP.
- Reset ISN 7DTC, 8HP for F, G serie (include EGS7).
- Write ISN MG1/MD1 with remotely.
- Carplay/Android Auto MGU with/without ATM (6AE).

When you say patching NBT EVO, do you know about a procedure guide I can follow, maybe another post here I can check?

To do nbt evo patch solution you need hu-engineer or hutool pro. I sent you 1 pm
