Hi Guys,

I am trying to code a new RLM2 on an iX40 with Launcher PRO 5, however the CAFD_00006ABC & ABD seem to be missing from 4.38.11 & 4.37.42 release.

Does anyone have these files?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated

These are Secure Coding. You NEED online ISTA and WON'T get CAFD files.

Even IF you get CAFDs they will help you little, because there are no signing keys in PSdZ data for these.

Many thanks for the reply, I thought this may be the case, I did think Launcher PRO 5 had some limited secure coding function though?

I have no idea what "limited SC function" in LP5 is, because I don't use it. From the screenshots I saw that ESys with LP5 displays status as having connection to SC backend at a... was it "basic" level, but then I have no idea what that level is.

In any case unless signing keys leak from BMW, any limited functionality is useless.

Maybe you can read coding or something...

There are three different level (= roles) available:

Read CAF

• This role authorizes the read-only access to CAF files or creating vehicle order files
  

Sign NCD

• This role authorizes signing of net coding data (NCD) for ECU as of BN2021
  
• In order to code ECU with E-Sys at least the role Sign NCD is required
  
• All signing requests are logged in the backend and can be assigned uniquely
  
• Signing of net coding data is allowed in context of activities authorized by BMW Group only
  
• This role includes role Read CAF
  

Sign CAF

• This role is exclusively subject to CAF-ECU responsible persons and authorizes signing of CAF files using the CAF editor
  
• This role includes the Sign NCD role
