I’ve replaced my 325i engine with 330 and now needs coding to 330 software. Is it enough to just flash 330i zusb or do I have to change power class in CAS?

In e46, you only need update with zsub of 330i

Do you have Kessv2? If yes, it is possible to change the power class in flash of MSD80.

So in CAS and MSD80 EEPROM the power class will stay at the "325i value". Only in flash the power class will be changed. But you need a chiptuning tool like kessv2 because the file is then no longer signed.

upload your orginal file, you can transfere only changes, and then no need to change powerclass anywhere

for MSD8x, its easier to reset working hours and then program 330 software, and then manually change power class with NCS, after 10 working hours, the coding will be permeant....until someone resets the working hours again.

If you want to do it the correct way, change the vehicle TYPE from 325i to 330i in FA, program the DME, and then remove CAS and read and modify EEPROM. (this is way too much work)

Yes I have kess v2, will have a Look

PM me your 325i ZB number and the VIN and I will look for the correct 330i ZB number. Maybe I have the correct file ready here.
