Hello

right I soldered all 9 wires for hc05b6 as shown in upa manual
and lifted vdd pin from plate. tried to read but will not read.

so I ran voltage tests 2 pins came back as bad if I remove the 2 bad wires and rerun test they both come back as ok.

the first bad connection is pin 1 IRQ
the second bad connection is pin 6 PD3

is was gonna give up but I found some extra reference to these chips hidden away in upa folder smile1

the 2 bad connections seem to be the same that are described in the files I found.

1 was a txt file just containing a few words : CUT PD3, IRQ, TCAP1
as 2 of these seem to be the same as my 2 bad connections. check screens below.

           

its got me wondering maybe these chips will read ive seen someone else about with same errors on similar chip. smile1

any help info is appreciated.

SOLVED

wire the pins following the chip pinout diagram to upa

lift pins IRQ and PD3 from chip.

test connection and read.

there is a possibility you may also need to lift VDD
others suggested lifting TCAP1 and others PD4 etc but I only had to lift 2
you do not need to cut board like above in pictures.

this was on hc05b6 Motorola chip.

the magic trick seems to be when you run voltage test any pins that report as bad lift the matching chip pins from the board.

Have you tried reading this mcu with xprog on either civic valeo immo box, vw or opel/vauxhall immo box?

hello strikeforce I believe we have spoke before

I have not tested xprog with these immos as I don,t have xprog.

I have only done multiple Vaux/opel immos boxes but only with UPA
but xprog should work via pinout

And tried to read with xprog m clone

hello raffy that is exactly the same as the one I done check mask is 3ddj3

solder back on and wire following upa manual and lift wire 9 then run connection test if your getting bad voltage on irq or any others usually tcap1 or pd3 lift the pin then run again it will never read unless connection test passes

it should work ive done a fair few of these chips with upa
and should work with xprog aswell was this chip on immo ring working before you've tried to read ? and I presume your trying to retrieve security code ?

Adapter i run test and all pins are ok
Tryed to read but1 error found device silent
Maybe the hc05b6 is dead ?
I will bring another one and make test

hello yes might be if connection test is ok especially as you tried with programmer and only got 000000000000
and yes test another and let me know
