Question : Used Airbag ecu
Hello everybody is it possible to use used air bag ecu from other car change the vin remove crash data then code it by VCDS . Have to do on Golf 6 Tiguan (same ecu ) . Does carprog can do it ...

Why do you need another airbag module ?
cant you just clear crash data in the original 1 ? for better answer need more info on module etc if my post helps please give Reputation

A good used one with same part number can be adapted without issue.. What year and make is the vw?

Or if only eeprom broke then would be cheaper to buy blank eeprom and then program it with a dump from someone else's

I am not 100% sure on that! Last one that I did was 09 jetta.. used module was fine and coded no problem.. As long as same part number I cannot see why it wouldn't work.
