Which eeprom programmer?
O.k guys
so I'm new to the whole immo off thing, I've bought myself a Chinese SP200S reader just to practice reading and writing files, does anyone use one and are they any good? do you recommend a better programmer and if so which would be best. I don't mind spending some money, but I don't want to spend a fortune on one. it's just for personal hobby use. all advice is appreciated and taken on board |

RE: Which eeprom programmer?
Best all around programmer for a reasonable price is UPA USB.
If someone took the time to help you, the least you can do is take a few seconds and press two buttons!
Thanks + reputation. |

RE: Which eeprom programmer?
Basically we have two types of eeprom, serial - typically 8 pin IC and parallel - usually with over 20 pins.
You picked up SP200S which should support both of them while UPA (S) never support the parallel eprom, and most of the programmers of this type never do neither. UPA is excellence programmer but don't know your work scope, your may choose UPA now and acquire a universal one (like SP200S) for parallel eeprom later. |
