Hi,

I have an NBT Evo flashed to M branch. It boots up and works generally fine. However, I cannot get the bluetooth to turn on; it keeps showing "Unable to establish connection".

Using Tool32, I am able to use steuern_routine to enable bluetooth and enable bluetooth discovery mode. I can then select the NBT Evo from my iPhone and I am giving a pairing code, but the HU never gives me the pairing code.

I've heard this may be due to the HU waiting for the BDC to provide Personal Device Authentication before turning on bluetooth features. Is there any way this can be bypassed?

My guess is that car had either TCB or Combox still installed, and it's interfering with EVO bt signal.

Oh ! If Combox still installed, there is no doubt so..
TCB could not interfere with EVO in some situations

Thanks for the suggestions. The car is an E46 using carsystems emulator. There is not telematics module installed and the coding reflects this. Any other ideas?

This issue is now solved thanks to the amazing guys at car systems. I had an issue with my coding. For future reference (if this helps anyone), cdDeploy was performed with the FA of a Mini (only way it would accept it). The following are the corrected values (on the right) I believe helped resolve it:

DUN_PROFILE Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
PAN_PROFILE Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
TELEMATIC_ECU Left: tpl = 02 Right: atm = 03
INBAND_RINGING Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
DATACOMM_CSIM Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
WLAN_STATUS Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
WLAN_WIFI_DIRECT Left: nicht_aktiv (not active) = 00 Right: aktiv (Active) = 01
API_USB_VIDEO Left: none (None) = 00 Right: both = 03

I believe this actually enabled the bluetooth functionality:
