Secondhand ECU to replace original one..Possible?
Hi all.
I bricked my cars ECU (Bosch EDC16C34) here "the other day". I have bought a replacement, second hand, same make, same type, for the same engine (1,6HDI 9HZ) Saloon, year and "everything" is the same... Except the transponder on my key.... I can "see" and edit the ECU and BSI in PP2000 and ServiceBox, I have adjusted several parametres to suite my car, even the cruise-control and stereo works / is present. I am able to lock and unlock the car with keys on my car-key, and turn the engine, but of course it will not start / ignite. Is it possible for me, with my original PIN kode, belonging to my original key, to match / learn my key to the new / swapped ECU? My VIN is still the same (BSI is not changed), so hence I wonder if I will, with my PIN-code, be able to learn my car / swapped ECU my keys rfid-chip..(I hope). Advice? Sicerelly Aursis |

RE: Secondhand ECU to replace original one..Possible?
Hello, to do this you'll need to virginize your ecu first.
Or you could read your ecu in full bdm (if you still can) and write on the new ecu only eeprom contents to restore anti-theft informations... Or you could immo off your replacement ecu... |
