Is there any way that we can custom build the stock egs firmware with the alpina function enabled ( gear indicator on all modes+LC Flag)....

We would need to crack the encryption BMW uses for their psdzdata files (mathematically infeasible), remove the mechatronics unit from within the transmission open it and read/write to it like a DME/DDE or use proprietary custom built protocol level software to directly read/write the raw files on the EGS module over OBD.

Sound something's quite complicated, but seems you already had experience on it, please see if you can do that successfully on your car, I am willing to pay for it. Thanks!

There's a couple of us that have been working on this as a side project for nearly a year now and we hope to have something at least ready for testing by the end of the year or early 18'.
