Is that the temperature range for the plugs?
EDIT. Nope, the temperature is in the part number. |

Are you sure those from ebay were not fake bosch? Spark plugs of all quality brands are faked. I would never buy spark plugs from ebay unless from a very good known reputable source.

RE: Misfire cylinder 5, about to pull open engine as last resort!
R6 or R8 is the internal resistance of the plug. (6 or 8 kOhms)
N54 and N52 run with R6 plugs while N55 engine runs with R8 plugs. Also, some of the models have 14 or 12mm tread, different gap size, etc. Running with incompatible plugs may damage things, as the spark is not optimized correctly because of resistor value and gap size, also if the engine is direct injection you can also damage the pistons if the plug is too long. Next time, search realoem or ETK with your VIN, go to engine electrical system, plugs/coils and see the code. Some cars/engines will have both Bosch and NGK plugs, some only Bosch. Get the exact code, and try to find a reputable source as Node said, because Bosch is a brand that is heavily copied in many countries. If it's less than $25-$30 per plug, it means it's fake. For this kind of maintenance i would go with the agency and get them from there, as the price is not very high. |

RE: Misfire cylinder 5, about to pull open engine as last resort!
For info, problem was fixed by chaging to oem plugs
Bosch support tell me, r6 or r8, its 6 or 8kohm But there is a range +-4kohms So both plugs should work on my engine |
