There are an increasing number of posts about various new versions of Win 10 causing issues.

There is a perfect version of Win 10 for our purposes and it's called Windows 10 LTSB 2016 (Long Term Servicing Branch). It's missing many of the bells and whistles we don't need and it won't update itself to a new major version, avoiding the problems many of us have been seeing lately with the Fall Creator's Update.

Only problem is, you can't buy it but that never stopped us...

I use PRO insider with rspreview now i have 17025 i not have problems with bmw software.
I use this laptop for car, and my personal uses, so i preffer proffessional edition.

but LTSB for laptop only for soft, will be perfect. is possible download from microsoft web with 90 days free

I use Windows 10 N LTSB..on almost all my laptops x86 and x64 and run perfect..N means iven without media pack..this versions also not calling home much as other none LTSB..and you have more control of privacy

Unsure what all problems are I don't use often but I got free edition w10 in all after no problem so far ista and istap use reg w defender no firewall or anitviris at all , not if using VMware for anything all network adaptors except hardwired lan line must be disabled or ista will have problems this is a know fact for sometime now at lease to me enjoy all
