Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
Hello. I'm using original ICOM with easyconnect mode OBD_ab625 and type remote". I've been trying to update E53 and E60, DDE and EGS. It goes all well and in the end, it says OK. But when I look in inpa ZB number, it's still the same as it was before. And when I try again to update, it still shows the same updateable ZB number as before. Is my winkfp setting wrong? I'm using the latest SP datens and latest winkfp.
I've attached the settings picture below. |

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
Rather, you have everything OK
these old models have not got the latest software for ages, someone already made the update, and you only did the fix, to let winkfpt choose, F1 comfort mode> F3 update ZUSB> enter vin. > Done> ZUSB program and that's enough for winkfpt to pick the latest soft If my post helped you hit the thanks and reputation button!

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
you have "write UIF" in your winkfp settings disabled.
so UIF isnt being written after flash |

The programming date is the same as before (E53 - 2005 and E60 - 2008) and the zusb number was also not updated. So i have to tick UIF write boxes exept write in expert mode? |

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
Yes. If you use comfort mode you need to have uif in comfort mode ticked on. If not it will not write the software info the the ecu. That’s why you still see the same zb.

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
What about "UIF write after data / program)?
And if I want to update CIC retrofitted into E60, can I update without UIF ticked? (I've read, that UIF write can lose FSC code) |

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
Yes tick that too.
When it comes to retrofitted modules, it depends. Are you using a script or emulator to activate your CIC? Or have you used the Intel Patch method? If script: You need to script again, UIF does not matter. If emulator, UIF needs to match FSC VIN AFAIK, so dont use that when updating. If Intels method, you need to re apply patch and fsc codes. as long as UIF matches your CAS VIN its ok. |

RE: Winkfp doesn't update ecus after updating ecus
I don't use emulator or Intels method. What do you mean by script? Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm not that familiar with these options. Currently the CIC has a different VIN.
