RE: ETKA 8.0 v03.2018
For all the people that successfully installed this software on there windows 10 , can you please confrim what version? I'm running 1709 and wondering if I should be downgrading. Think this installer is having an issue dough after hour or so tells me successful install and comes with Error 15 HardLock .
Can someone please shed some light. cheers |

Windows is now 1804 (1803 in command winver) Where 18 = 2018 Where 04 = April Perhaps you need a clean install? I don't run ETKA on Windows 10, but it was tested by f33nix on Windows 10x64-bit, running perfectly. |

Just checked and I'm also running Windows 10 Home 64-bit (1709). Haven't had any problems to date. |

See post #4 of this thread. I only put that up as there is no visual feedback on what is happening, and was aimed at those who are impatient. I just started the install and kept an eye on it whilst doing other things around the house. I believe the install procedure is Disk Cleanup (of any old ETKA files), which takes several minutes, the Main Installation (a few prompts to click on), this takes about 30-50 minutes, and finally the Hardlock Install (a prompt or two to click on), which takes a few minutes. All in for me, just under a hour. I have yet to put it on a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit laptop, which is were it was originally destined for, but haven't got around to it. |

RE: ETKA 8.0 v03.2018
I get this error ""The application was unable to start (0xc000007b)". What's wrong?
First I got the mfc100.dll error. It couldn't find it. Then I copied that file to C:\Windows\syswow64. After that I got the error I mentioned first |

So you either done something wrong, or you didn't install f33nix version The program is very stable, and just updated to current database version today. Perhaps your version is not f33nix editon, or you PC is broken. |

I don't know why you get the error about the dll missing as program install vcredist. The program error afterward could be bad ram memory or the dll added was not from Microsoft or wrong version. I don't know what else to recommend |

RE: ETKA 8.0 v03.2018
mfc100.dll error:
Etka requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistributable package (x86), regardless of x86 or x64 |
