Hello mates!
Did anybody wrote succesfully an EDC17CP14 irom build after 09/2009 with EU kess 5.017 clone using protocol 501 (Ksuite 2.32)?

I know, the newer ecu have tprot, but i am asking because there are no warnings in the Kess-Help docs using this new protocol.

I have also a full backup of this Ecu from before, can i restore it after if anything goes wrong?

u have backup by obd2? or in boot mode? In boot mode I have wroted and its works perfect. I my friend we wrote by obd audi q5 and everything ok

I have backup by boot with ktag. I tuned this car before also by boot and everything ok. Now i have to do an dtcoff and ask if its possible by obd with this new protocol 501. i ask because i dont want to disassemble this ecu again and if some have expierence with this.

Have wrote a 03L906022RN EDC17CP 14 with TP V7.0 with Protocoll 501 sucessfull, but i tried it only on my test ECU, on real car i dont try it until now
But if you have full backup, you can restore it.

Friends, the operation succeeded! I wrote succesfully with protocol 501, during the process, the car fan run at full speed, so you have to attach a good charger!

I sucesfuly write EDC17cp14 2011 year..those ecus with IROM/XROM sometimes fail at 99% and stay in programing mode..but with 501 prt this is solved.Important is like you say good charger and I iven pul fuse for fan

i ll give it a try on new 501 protocol got an audi q5 2009 with edc17cp14 SW: 1037500120 03L906022NH 4388 i will try by ODB
