Hello to all,

I have install to my friends Xentry Diagnostics PassThru OpenShell. For one I install 2018.05 and now to another friend of mine I install and set 2018.07 software version. Both of them have problem with connecting cars above 2010 year.

Im installed softwares according Pesona steps for dummies:

when installing, which one do you choose, us or eu?
and what passthru device do you use?

Im using MB STAR C4 chinese clone, and what do you mean under US or EU? If you mean setup language hmm sometimes I use Englis US.

you installed xentry openshell xdos, not passthru

its seem your xentry has trouble
your das is ok
take a picture and post here

yes, take screenshots of the diagnose failures.
also if possible do a self test using sdconnect toolkit.
it is useful for checking the hardware.

Thanks mate, I will upload pictures tomorrow, hardware is ok I test it using sdconnect toolkit, and it works in DAS I can do diagnose with DAS on older cars.

Here is screenshot of error. I mention that DAS work ok and I can diagnose cars in DAS. I have seen this error on DAS in some of earlyer versions, but never faced with this error in Xentry.

Is it maybe problem because I clone HDD with all softwares set. Once I install all softwares and set it to work with Lenovo Thinkpad T420 then im just clone hard drive and put it in another T420 its easyer than all softwares set again and again.

i know you said that DAS works but i apologize if i have to ask this question.
i ask the question because:
1. i don't see sdconnect toolkit in the task tray. (probably it is hidden and not shown)
2. the error message is "vci is not available". it means sdconnect (vci) doesn't connect to the computer.

my questions:
1. what xentry software do you install? is it the one that i gave the link in the thread? fyi, it is xentry openshell passthru use with passthru device and not xentry das openshell (xdos) that use sdconnect

2. after cloning, do you set the lan tcp/ip again?
