You may have seen that ETKA 8.0 no longer updates data from the ETKA Loader program - this happens two months after ETKA 8.0 gives the warning that you need to update to ETKA 8.1. Prices still update as normal.

I tried many ways to update data and this is the only way I have found that works.

If you open ETKA loader, you will see that the UPDATE DATA button will grey out and is not available. No worries, download the ETKA.Data.Updater.International.rar file I have attached

Run this file and the updates will be found.
When the updates have finished downloading, if you press START ETKA you get error that the ETKA path is not found. This is not a problem.
Simply open the ETKA program itself and ETKA will then find the updates and install without any problem.

Hello, the update of Etka 8.1 (ETKA_81_Install.EXE) from Etka 8.0 is available in C:\ETKA\PROG\IX.

It works but yesterday it started to force me etka 8.1 installation. I cannot bypass it. Any suggestion ?

Yes same here, am running the German version of ETKA 8.0 and with update 1240 for VW/AU I get the option to install 8.1. That is downloaded but installer stops that no ETKA8 installation was found.

On another pc I have the International version of ETKA 8.0 installed and with that version I could install data up to 1243 for VW/AU without the question to upgrade to 8.1

Would be nice if someone finds a way to upgrade the German version to 8.1

Found that topic and tried the fix.
It did seem to work somehow, at least it's showing revision 8.1.

But when starting Etka, I do still get another german warning about "zugangsdaten" , see attachment.
I can just close it and continue.
Checked the settings for each brand but not quite sure which settings causes this message.
