You sad newer models works great. Then vas5054 hw and odis isn't the problem.

Try with multimeter to check pin1+ and pin4- on obd2 connector with ignition on to have 12v or not.

What is the exact car you would like to diagnose? OBD2 can differ in cars. Not every model has pin1 wired to acc.

look seems somthing it's wrong.
download 1.20.41 D-PDU from here
install it and after that copy/paste C:\Program Files (x86)\Softing\D-PDU API\1.20.041\VeCom\VAS5054 folder on desktop
In my opinion you are to make a new odiss install.
there is a folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Softing\D-PDU API\1.20.042\VeCom\VAS5054
cut this VAS5054 and after that copy VAS5054 folder from your desktop to C:\Program Files (x86)\Softing\D-PDU API\1.20.042\VeCom
run odiss

Yes it should work with older cars.

Pictures from my VAS5054a

Under silver cover off AMB2300 I have MX on it.

With usb I have no problems with connection.

Only with bluetooth problems...(but that does not matter to me)

now, you can connect with old cars via usb?
btw, you do not have installed pass thru drivers for vas5054 in your pc?
what are the steps you do to configure bluetooth for vas5054?
