[SOLVED] e46 conversion from auto to manual gearbox
hi, i have a problem with e46 330d, 2003 , 204hp
we swap auto to manual transmission. with ncs i remove auto transmission(205) from FA but when i diagnose with ista the auto trans i still visible in the vehicle order and the engine cant rev up form 4000rpm. The warning in the dash is gone . When drive there is dtc for missing communication with the auto transmission. No help for people not give a feedback

Not enough to delete the $205, you must change the "TYPSCHLÜSSEL" to manual!
Code KOMBI, DSC/ASC but the DDE must reprograming with the manual flash! Sometimes you have to look for the correct ZUSB number and than flash with WinKFP! The ZUSB can find in ETK in case of e46! |

WBAXXXX070VIN wher the XXXX is the typschlüssel!
And you can find the under /ncsexper/daten/E46AT.000 look with notepad or with TotalCommander F3 |

Typschlüsse / type code is a part from the FA
I just looked over it, but could not see a difference between manual and automatic did you re-program the DME with a corresponding ZUSB from a manual car? Also delete the "variant coding" in the DME |

i just order it ! till now no resault. i flash the dde with manual soft. ...same thing ....
 any ideas why i cant see any dde data with ista ,all options are not active.i can't do anything when select dde(call up ecu function) all i can see is dtc of all modules . with inpa..easy diag ..autocom i see live data coding...other info...ect.
No help for people not give a feedback

as i said i flash the dde with winkfp can anyone tell me the file for the manual . maybe i mess up the wrong one

If I look at the ZBNumb of the last version for automatic is 7793924.
But for manual gearbox the last ZBNumb is 7793920. one more thing In the old E series like e46 VO list (fa.trc) I often saw the original ZB number, which in this case must be 7793027. Maybe this should also be changed to 7793181, then with ISTA-P can programmed it!

On petrol E46, it required an adaptations reset too (variant adaptations). Could that be the same for the diesel?
