KVauxhall  OPCOM Immobiliser Programming (New Key)
My brother lost his key last week and he bought the car (Vauxhall Astra 1.3 2008 Z13DTH) with just one key.
He went to the Vauxhall dealership where they’ve asked for £100 for the key (was missing security code as well) and £125 for programming it.

I thought I’d give him some help and do the programming myself. Unfortunately, I failed and I thought it might worth a shot to post here.

My OPCOM was v1.95(downgraded to 1.5 someting later) and opcom 120309 on win 7. Interface test runs succesfully. However, when i click on immobiliser, it won’t work. After lots of trial and error I realized that functions that connect through SWCAN works, however the rest that rely on  HS CAN do not work.
Thus,

RE: OPCOM Immobiliser Programming (New Key)
programming mode or section is only active when the correct pin code is entered.

RE: OPCOM Immobiliser Programming (New Key)
Hi,
You need to retrieve the car's pincode.
Carprog or FVDI for instance can read pin obd.

You can also desolder eeprom from instrument cluster and read with programmer. (Orange5, tl866 etc..)
(i believe its the m35080 eeprom)

RE: OPCOM Immobiliser Programming (New Key)
Since its Z13DTH you are better to go with FDVI and read the pin code from display and find a good Op-Com and program the key by login to BCM

RE: OPCOM Immobiliser Programming (New Key)
Always when we talking about opcom we are talking of firmware versions.
For your information:
Each opcom software version will upgrade automatically the firmware in your tool if this one has an older firmware version flashed.
For instance:
If you are using opcom 100219a ( china clone 2010 ) you need fw1.39
If you will try to use for thw first time tge vauxcom 120309a then this will upgrade automatically your firmware at fw1.45
Fw1.59 is required by the opcom 13122ec EN
German version and Romanian one is need fw1.60
Opcom/vauxcom 150406/160115 will upgrade the firmware at fw1.64
Opcom 170823 will upgrade it at 1.66
So usually a higher fw version used with opcom 100219a can cause issues or bugs but in newer opcom/vauxcom versions the newer fw version do not creat amy bug.
This is from my experience using opcom
God luck
