BMW E46 EWS Problem car wont start
Hey guys my friend called me today to help him with his car, bacause it wont start.
It cranks but will not start. They checked already the fuel pump (diesel) it is a 2002 model e46 2.0 diesel engine with 150hp he should have EWS 3 . I readed the error memory in ecu and there standas ews manipulation. After that i googled a little bit, and i tried to reset and synchronizate the ews and ecu with INPA and Tool32 but it dont work, then i tried to read error from the EWS but i was nit able to connect to the EWS with Inpa and with Tool32 there is no answer.. battery voltage was ok suplied even with another car We put the EWS already out it looks like new there is no water damage or any oxidation on it... Does anyone have any idea about this problem? What should i do next? I do have AK90 programmer but no clue what to do.. can i just make immo off maybe ? But on bmw it is not easy i know, i mean i dont know if it is even possible.. Regards, Omar |

It is ews 3, buy used ews3 and swap motorola or clone it, need to work, all the best...

@Vlado ATM Chiptuning i think is fw issue not hw cuz usually this problem caused when the ECU and EWS become out of sync

My friend will try to buy tomorrow a used ews 3, can it be from any car ?
So just the part number „61356905666“ must be same or does thos not matter? Must it just be an ews 3 ? Without any other priorities? And can someone explain please how to clone with ak90? |

It's best to buy the packet: ECU synced with EWS + key working with that EWS.
Or at least paired ECU+EWS and you will prepare PCF on AK90. it's cheap on the second hand right now
