CarPlay China Proxy Kit
I Need some reviews and feedback before buying these Chinese Carplay Proxy kits Available from different sellers in China. Has anyone tried them. Any feedback and suggestions?
Some even have reverse camera function which is a plus. Has anyone installed them on CIC-MID and CHAMP headunits? Best regards |

RE: CarPlay China Proxy Kit
I have installed them on cic mid they work through can, you usually get adapters just connect them, when you put car in reserve it will automatically open rear sensors and camera at same screen... For price they are good. I have installed one to a friend he is very satisfied.

RE: CarPlay China Proxy Kit
I fitted one with reverse camera function. Whilst the car play worked just as any normal CarPlay would I encountered a few issues. The graphic whilst in reverse was poor and the reverse lines were not central. Also I found that whilst the unit was fitted I would lose DAB radio channels. The NBT wouldn’t update the stations until the car slept. On removing the unit all worked perfectly again. I decided on removing the unit to fit OEM parts for the reverse cam. This then led to me getting carried away with surround view retrofit, TV, park assist and many more. I personally wouldn’t buy one again.
I don't know much, but if I've helped you're welcome.

RE: CarPlay China Proxy Kit
They work, sort of but not well enough in my opinion to install. I fitted one to a friends car and he was disappointed with the clunky performance.
Genuine ID5/6 HU is the correct way. |
