BMW CAS 3+ Problem
I recently used a CG-Pro to add a new key to a 2012 X5. I read the EEPROM just fine and used a current working key to write a new one. When I tried to re-read the EEPROM to make sure I had a backup, I got "decryption timed out". When I tried to read the chip with XPROG, I get "communication error" but I can't rule that my XPROG is not working either. I was also able to grab the ISN while making the key.
When I plug the CAS into the car, I can hear the doors actuate. I tried to flash the CAS using ISTA/P but when the programming is finished and it asks you to insert key and turn on ignition, I get stuck since Terminal 15 won't activate. I was able to use WinKFP with ICOM to update the zusb and it successfully finished but still unable to activate KL15. I re-wrote the FA from FRM to CAS and attempted to recode using NCSExpert but get the error "COAPI-2063: Error on comparing/verifying coding data. Running diags on INPA shows CAS error memory A121 Treiber_LED_KS Code: A121610254C1FFFF and "Key Invalid" when key is inserted under CAS status. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! RE: BMW CAS 3+ Problem
That is a code for the button illumination, have a look at the CAS ribbon cable to make sure it hasn't cracked or become damaged.

RE: BMW CAS 3+ Problem
I'll double check the ribbon cable later today. As for the CAS dump, I can post the original one before any changes are made but I can't get another reading from CG-PRO or XPROG. I'll post it later today as well. Thanks.

RE: BMW CAS 3+ Problem
Ribbon cable looked fine and no pins were bent. I've attached the EEPROM bin I got before it died. Still unable to read again.
