Tryed 1.9TDI AFN engine too and same.. unknown ecu.
Can the low battery cause this error?

AFN is too old for obd, it is MSA15 ecu.

i have the same problemes , i just click OK to proceed anyway, an was fine, read write, wthout any problems

Maybe the 2000 Passat B5 with AJM engine 1.9TDI 85KW PD is also too old?

Old only for this engine. Try to use cip 29F boot pin( boot pin and 1 kohm to ground, ignition on, wait 5 sec, remove connection and start reading)

I think maybe my kess sdcard is faulty..
Ćant read 3C Passat BKP engine, wakeup error.
I try another sdcard and clean connections.

Can i read the tuned file one car and write it to another car?
Example E46 330d M57D30 stage 1 to E39 530d M57D30?
Or need to modify every ecu original file?
Can someone explain me what/where i need to change.

you need to match hw / sw numbers ect maybe even transmission type (wait for a pro to answer) , also the m57 has a few variations, I flashed my alhambra with a sharan file and all was ok but could not re-flash through obd anymore, flashed in boot mode with the original file and now all is ok again.

I actually have a stage 1 bluefin on my lci e60 530d but pretty sure that will have some sort of protection or would read and share with the forum.
