BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
Hello all,
I got a F10 2013, non facelift, with a standard instrument cluster. I want to install a 6WA cluster. The seller has already virginized the cluster, resetted the mileages on it and coded my VIN to it. If I install this cluster to my car, do I need something to code to let it work, or is it only plug and play? Hope someone could help me. Thanks in advance! |

RE: BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
You need to VO code the cluster after you added 6WA to the VO order using E-sys

RE: BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
So is adding 6WA to the VO enough? And do I need to remove the old cluster FA from the list?

RE: BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
HI,
the basis cluster didnt have any VO, it is the standard cluster. So add 6WA to VO, code the cluster and code, if available, the nav system. Thorsten |

RE: BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
The seller where I will buy the cluster from will reset the cluster and will reset the mileages, so when I install the cluster it will automatically take over my current mileages from my car. Also he will code my VIN. after this, is it possible to use the cluster without problems after i add 6wa to my VO?
Thanks |

The steps have already been given to you, there is no reason to have problems unless the VIN/Mileage reset/coding was not done properly And you won't know until you fit it and code. |

RE: BMW F10 install 6WA cluster
Hi,
All i did when upgrade my F30 2012 cluster to 6WA (F10 similar): 1-clear vin (remove eeprom) 2-clear odo (if 6wa odo higher than your cluster's odo) 3-flash 6wa (if not, you will meet red dot, mileage trip auto reset to zero after every engine start, car service not show on cic/nbt) 4-vo code by add 6wa to SAPALA. enjoy. If your 6wa virginized, you need to do step 3 and 4 above. Beside if you have NBT, require a MOST (optical) cable route from NBT to 6WA. Hope this help. (thanks and rep if you found my post can help you) |
