I have F54 after front crash, replaced all front PDC sensors and ran ISTA/P for headlight change which reprogammed all modules and mucked up HUD Theft Protection!! Now PDC Failure error.  ISTA P cleared errors but consistently has error front left left centre right and right centre Sensors.  Right right and left left sensors are working and test OK in ISTA.  All sensors clicking when operating PDC Manually.  I tracked all wires in loom from front connector to rear PDC control unit and all OK, no short circuit everything good.  ISTA reports errors - short circuit to ground or open circuit on each of the 4 sensors.  Interesting in ISTA test distance says - no sensor fitted.  If I remove a working sensor like rear or left left it says error 511 (i.e. not say no sensor fitted).  There is also sensor fault: programming error showing on each front sensor.  I think somehow car thinks it has option but no sensors.  FA is as per original I think.  Any ideas what steps to program with E-Sys ?  Change Date?  Sorry long post.

What sensors are you using? Did you replace with OEM, or aftermarket?
I know OEM sensors are super expensive, but I have had terrible luck with the aftermarket crap.

Hi its aftermarket crap but the two outside ones work fine. I swapped a working BMW one to the front but it made no difference. Understand what you are saying but I do not think its the sensors, its the four in the front that the computer says are not fitted, BMW one or not doesnt work. I spent about 5 hours on this tracing the wiring trying to find the "short or open" circuit but all checks out fine. 4 x BMW ones there goes a grand. Thanks. BTW crap $5 temp sensor works good, I recommend it.

Buy used BMW sensor. You can read on other forums what stupid errors can give aftermarket sensor. People buy shity parts and than you can search to solve problem for years, but problem probobly is in sensor.

Genuine not work front either, fake works ok on rear. ISTA says not fitted.

I just want to eliminate coding issues by recoding PDC may be to a couple of dates, thought I would double check the correct procedure as I don't want to mess up anything.
