Ktag error while reading ECU with GPT cable
I just got Ktag today, was trying to read ECU ( edc17c10 TC1797 Ford GPT ). Getting following error while reading.
""Communication error with the ECU: control all connections; if the problem persists, send log file to the assistance" Any clue on this matter? I have applied 15v 1.5A power to ktag . Also tried stock adapter which came with Ktag which has 12V 1A. same error on both. |

RE: Ktag error while reading ECU with GPT cable
I think is too much 15v, and it is possible to have a bad connection on the board. Recheck your connections, and put 14,5v , instead 15v

RE: Ktag error while reading ECU with GPT cable
I double checked connection to the board. everything is okey.
I can only select between 12 and 15v on my power supply . |

RE: Ktag error while reading ECU with GPT cable
Tried that already. not working.
Should I try different protocol? My car has TPROT12, which is not listed. Tried MED17 Ford TPROT12 protocol but it shows same error.( it has diff connection than mine as ECU is petrol while mine is Diesel ). |

RE: Ktag error while reading ECU with GPT cable
okey looks like power issue to me. Should I try with 14v 5A adapter? what is safe range of voltage and ampere on ktag/ecu?
