RE: Wireless ICOM setup
Please check your Wifi adapter first, I was told it it works with Atheros and Broadcam. I use Atheros
You can use third party tools too, i use MyPublicWifi, it's free. 1. Get your ICOM Ip from Itools 2. Access with the browswer to http://ICOMIP:5800 3. Go to WLAN 4. Change values to SSID: ICOM, security: WPA2, Pre-sahred key: 12345678 5. Save and disconnect the ICOM 6. Open MyPublicWifi 7. Choose Automatic Hotspot 8. Fill with the previous options: SSID: ICOM and Network Key: 12345678 9. Press "Start Hotspot" 10. Go to Network connection from Control Panel, and check the the New Wireless connection is Identifying or it is connected and says ICOM 11. Once then, you can connect the ICOM to your car (without the ethernet cable) and you will see it will start flashing the WLAN led, once the light stays permanent, it will be connected. And you will be able to use it per Wlan. I use it this way and works. |
