BMW F30 IHKA US <> ECE
Hi All,
Quick question with following scenario: I have purchased an IHKA from F32 2014 USA model (Fahrenheit, FM/AM button, instead of TP) I want to fit this in a F36 ECE from 2014 (Celcius). Will simply VO-coding the IHKA in ECE car convert the Fahrenheit digits on IHKA to Celcius? Or is this hard coded in SWFL of IHKA. Thanks in advance! P.s: below picture is not the IHKA i have, but the one I probably should have purchased |

RE: BMW F30 IHKA US <> ECE
This is not IHKA, but only control panel. IHKA is under dashboard

Just check the part#s on the back of the Auto HVAC Controllers. You should be able to configure temp to C from the iDrive if you are just swapping in an F32 non-LCI front panel with the same features e.g. heated seats. FYI, for the radio/memory/CD Controller, you should be able reuse your ECE Controller with the F32 Auto HVAC Controller. If you are upgrading to the LCI front panel, depending on your vehicle manufacturing date, you may need to also upgrade your IHKA to IHKA3 and you will have to VO/FDL Code the IHKA3 module. Larry
