Do you have found a hex file for the picf1845k80? When yes, can you send it to me? i searched a while but .. found nothing.

Pic18F45k80 is protected
The dump you can buy it from China
Year ago I had an offer arround 1000$ for fw1.39+bootloader
Then you can combine the bootloader with new firmwares if you want.
I wasn't intrested in this so I denied the offer.
The next solution is to extract phisically the dump from a good MCU. The cheapest company that do this are in China too. But also is too much in my opinion. More then a 1000$/dump
So in my opinion the cheapest way is to but a tool with real MCU ( PIC18F458 ) or to exchange the Pic18F45k80 with real Pic18F458

hi there,

i buy´d a new original pic18f458 and reflowed it. after modify the board (cap and diode) it works now perfect. i soldered the enamelled copper wire to the board, so i can program the pic with my pickit. but my mistake was, after flash the pic i forgot to desolder / isolate the wire´s. i plug in my usb cable and so ... my ftdi 232 chip goes up in smoke but my luck was, i have enough ftdi chips in my box as a donor.

for everyone who search a hex file for pic18f45k80 .. forget it .. i maked a hex file for the pic18f45k80, i can flash it and the ocflash tool can read the version, but it doesnt connect to the car. so dont waste your time, and buy an original pic18f458. you can upgrade / downgrade with ocflash with this pic18f458

First of all you have to write just in English in this forum here
But to answare to your question: You need to replace the PIC18F45K80 with a PIC18F458 and use the dump that its flowing all over the web
Use an external programmer for this.

I have a PICKIT3.

PIC18F458 costs almost as much as a new OPCOM.

Maybe. But if you wanna have a real opcom you need to replace the MCU.
Or you may choose to buy a new one with a real PIC18F458 inside.
As I said in a post above the dump for PIC18F45K80 is cost too much and it doesn't worth. Also if you wanna extract it cost too much so in anyway it doesn't worth. Because you cannot read it directlly because its protected

Hello all mattydr i have the v5 HQ the same as the photos you posted and I also have a v6 which I've upgraded with new pic and reflashed

what is the main difference between v5 and v6 other than the v6 usually has fake mcu ?

what is the latest software version i can run with v5 HQ and v6 any difference ? 

And also should my v6 be working with my v5 hq software 08 2010  that asks for activation with no ftdi id faker ?
as far as I know this is ok correct me if i,m wrong

The differece between v6 and v5:
MCU
Kline MCU pin 15 instead of pin23
Components D5 and C22 that need to be removed
After conversion you can use any software versions that you xan use with a v5 one ( HQ clone, China clone and original versions )
All you need to check is:
hardware is not defective-you can connect to all controlers on klines and CAN BUS
You can upgrade/downgrade the firmware
